In our English enrichment programme for Primary 2 pupils , your child will continue to strengthen his or her foundation in the English language.

In addition, your child will also be further developing his interest in the language with additional writing skills.

Our English enrichment programme for Primary 2 pupils aims to help your child to be better prepared for the major examinations in Singapore when he progresses to the mid-primary school years.

To build your child’s language foundation, he will learn new grammatical and vocabulary skills and be confident of his language skills.

Learning Outcomes

Our English enrichment programme for primary 2 students in Singapore seek to achieve the following learning outcomes :

Grammar and Vocabulary

Pupils will learn the grammatical syllabus, grammatical rules and thematic vocabulary.

Pupils will learn to identify keywords to answer with precision

Cloze and Comprehension

Read a passage with understanding.

Learn to identify the keywords in the passage.

Learn to identify the different types of comprehension questions.

Learn the answering techniques for the different types of comprehension questions.

Writing

Pupils will be taught how to plan with a logical flow based on 4 pictures.

Pupils will be taught how to write a story using sequential actions.

Pupils will learn how to write using a step-by-step method :

How to start a story with a clear introduction

How to write the body paragraph with sequential details

How to end the story with a complete conclusion

How to apply the writing skills in an exam

Learn to write sentences using the proper sentence structures.

Learn to use the right adverb and conjunction to start and join a sentence.

Learn the vocabulary words for different topics
